Dean Davidov joined Misuma Holdings in the summer of 2005, strengthening the Company’s acquisition and development capabilities in response to increased deal activity. Dean’s roles include transaction evaluation and due diligence, deal structuring, and management. Dean brings to Misuma an analytical and transaction management expertise integral to supporting timely and definitive property acquisition activities.
Prior to joining Misuma, Dean was the Director of Corporate Development at WellPoint, Inc., a publicly traded Fortune 50 corporation. The Corporate Development team was responsible for evaluation, business and financial analysis, structuring, and negotiation of all mergers & acquisitions, dispositions, and new business ventures. While at WellPoint, Dean completed 32 transactions valued at over $33 billion. Among his many highlights included the evaluation, structuring, and negotiation of a joint venture with Dole and Castle & Cooke to develop a new hospitality and wellbeing concept. This concept initially resulted in the construction of a luxury hotel in Westlake Village, California, and the redevelopment of two existing hotels in Lanai, Hawaii (all of which are now under the Four Seasons flag).
Before WellPoint, Dean worked in the financial planning group at Wal-Mart, and as an associate at Foley & Lardner, an international law firm with 19 offices world-wide. Dean was involved in real estate in various capacities while attending college and graduate school, where he worked to supplement the analytical capabilities of his current partner and related entities as needed. Dean also holds a California broker’s license.
Dean received two graduate degrees, a Juris Doctorate and a Masters of Business Administration, from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He completed his undergraduate studies in Political Science and received both Phi Beta Kappa honors and the Magna Cum Laude seal at the University of Southern California.
